What does love have to do with it?

Everybody knows that February 14, Valentine’s Day, is associated with affairs of the heart.
But, do you know why, or did you know there were several early Christian martyrs named Valentine who are associated with the holiday?
Scholars believe the date became associated with love during the Middle Ages when the notion of courtly love was at it’s height in Europe.
