Country music star Craig Morgan, best known for his hit “That’s What I Love About Sunday,“ will be hitting the Cattle Annie’s stage later this month.
Touring in support of his latest CD, “Little Bit of Life,” Morgan will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 24.
The album’s title track reached number six on the charts this year, and its follow-up single, “Tough,” is one of radio’s most-played songs this fall.
Just a few more feathers for Morgan to put in his cap. After seven years in the business, he has released four albums, had the number one most-played song of 2005 with “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” and regularly plays more than 200 live shows a year.
In a recent press release, Morgan said he’s known as “the singer-songwriter who writes songs about the little things in life.”
It’s a reputation he embraces.
“As an artist, you strive to connect with your audience,” he said. “I’m proud that country music fans rec-ognize themselves and their lives in my music.
“I have a passion for making little things very visual and big, stuff that can be easily overlooked.”
“Little Bit of Life” features four of Morgan’s own compositions, making it his most personal effort yet.
He also said that this record closely captures the sound and energy of his live shows.
“(It’s) a lot more me and a lot more relaxed,” he said. “After doing this for a while, you get a little more comfortable and confident.
“I just want people to hear on the record what they live. We try not to manipulate in the studio too much. When you go to tweaking and changing and cleaning, you take away from the personality that’s in the vocal.”
Tickets to his Cattle Annie’s show are $22, and it’s only open to people 21 and older.
