Bluegrass at Sedalia back for 12th year at center
The Sedalia Center will host the 12th annual Bluegrass at Sedalia June 26 through 28. The center is located off VA 122 about 11 miles north of Bedford.
The event will begin June 26, from 6 to 11 p.m., with the Bluegrass Brothers. The entertainment June 27, will take place from 5 to 11 p.m. with Carolina Sonshine. The cost of admission each night is $10. A full day of music from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. June 28, will feature performances by Against the Grain, Black Bear Express, Deer Creek Boys, FaithRidge, Hard Drivin’ Grass, Johnathan Dillon and Phantom Grass, Ken Scoggins and Miller’s Creek, Mark Templeton and Pocket Change, McCabe Express #2, Plain & Simple, Smith Mountain Grass and Ted Jones and the Tarheel Boys. The cost is $20. The fee for a three-day pass is $35.

Theatreworks schedules new summer programs
Theatreworks, located at 2486 Rivermont Ave., Suite 202, will offer several summer programs for a variety of ages and skill levels. Classes are limited, so early registration is suggested. For information call (434) 238-0208.
Rivermont studio offers belly dance classes
The Mind Body Studio, at 311 Rivermont Ave., will offer two sessions of Tribal Belly Dance. The one-hour classes will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays. The first session will be five weeks beginning June 25. The second session will last six weeks beginning July 30. The cost is $27. Registration still open for Discover Lynchburg camp
Discover Lynchburg Summer Camp 2008 has a few remaining spaces available for children ages 9 through 12.
The week-long camp, offered by Lynchburg Museum System, starts June 23. Camp hours will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Campers will tour historic sites, the Police and Fire departments, and go on a picnic. They will also learn about nature and Native Americans, river navigation, make gargoyles, play 19th century games, among other activities.
Applications must be submitted by Friday. The fee for the week is $100.

Bedford announces movie schedule for rest of summer
Bedford becomes Hollywood in the Hills again this year when the free outdoor movie series resumes Saturday, the first show of the fourth season.
Movies will be shown once a month at dusk on Bedford Elementary School’s athletic field, with gates opening at 7 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the show will move inside to the school gym, with the movie starting at 7:30 p.m.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be on sale; no alcohol or pets allowed.
The 2008 season will screen:
June 21: “Charlotte’s Web.”
July 19: “Surf’s Up.”
Aug. 16: “Happy Feet.”
Sept. 20: “We Are Marshall.”
