When the Emmy nominations were announced earlier this month, I was full of opinions.

But I’m only just now getting around to writing them down (hey, better late than never, right?).

My favorite “True Blood” cast member now has some competition.

Alexander Skarsgard’s bad boy vampire Eric has kept me tuning in — sometimes against my better judgment (I’m talking about you, season one!) — since the show began.

This season, however, has introduced us to another who has some serious TV boyfriend potential: Joe Manganiello’s burly werewolf Alcide.

Yes, I said werewolf.

In the opening moments of USA’s “Covert Affairs,” CIA trainee Annie Walker is taking a polygraph test.

When the administrator asked if she’d be able to keep her work and professional lives separate, I had to laugh.

Yeah right! We all know fictional spies regularly mix business and pleasure (and, often, pain and lots of drama). That’s why we love them.

The title characters in TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles” couldn’t be more different.

Detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon, “Law & Order”) is a tomboy who dresses casually, often in sensible shoes, drives a nondescript sedan and likes roughhousing with her younger brother.

Chief Medical Examiner Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander, “NCIS”) is always dressed to the nines, usually in some form of high heel, tools around town in a sleek Mustang and probably doesn’t know what roughhousing is.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from ABC Family’s “Huge.”

Would the show, which premieres at 9 p.m. Monday and is based on a young adult novel about teens at a weight-loss camp, be uplifting? Condescending? Mean-spirited?

The answer is none of the above.

Instead, think cheesy after-school special. The action didn’t flow from scene to scene, the camera work was sloppy and almost every scene was scored with melodramatic music, whether it was called for or not.

Dwight Hendricks is a complex man. At least that’s what the creators of TNT’s new show want you to think.

The Wests, a family of criminals, live by two rules.

They never use violence, and they do not invade people’s homes — “at least not when they’re in them,” matriarch Cheryl (Virginia Madsen) says in the pilot episode of “Scoundrels,” which airs at 9 p.m. Sunday on ABC.

The 2009-2010 television season came to an end earlier this month, and boy was it a good one.

My DVR has never been so busy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I was completely prepared to dislike the series finale of “Lost.”

After six years of twists, turns and seemingly unsolvable mysteries, I thought there was no way the producers could wrap it up in a satisfying way.

And, if you’re basing your opinion solely on the number of mysteries resolved or questions answered, they didn’t.

But I loved it anyway.
